Why do the brackets attach to the car before the crossbars?+
On the Corolla Cross, the mounting brackets bolt into the car top mounting points first, and the pre-assembled crossbar (with its mounts already fitted) then attaches onto the brackets. This is simply how the fit works for this vehicle — the end result is identical to any other Strong V3 install.
What's the maximum weight capacity?+
Up to 220 lbs (100 kg) while driving (our dynamic load rating), evenly distributed. Always check your vehicle's roof load limit and never exceed the lower of the two.
Can I install Strong V3 by myself?+
Yes — most users can install with the included Allen keys. We recommend reading the manual first and having a second person help lower each crossbar onto its mounted brackets.
Are the crossbars lockable?+
Yes. Each mount has a crossbar cover with a metal key. Always lock after installation for theft deterrence.
