My bars look too long for my vehicle

Most of the time this is an installation issue, not a wrong-size set.

  1. Check the bar is fully seated. Push the bar firmly into the mount until it stops — it sometimes needs a strong push for the last inch.
  2. Check front vs. rear placement. The longer bar goes on the FRONT and the shorter bar goes on the REAR. Most vehicle roofs taper toward the rear, so the rear bar is intentionally shorter.
  3. If the bars still appear wrong, measure each bar (without the mounts) and contact our support team. We'll verify the spec for your vehicle and ship a replacement set free of charge if needed.

My front and rear bars are different sizes — is this a defect?

No — this is by design. Most vehicle roofs are wider at the front and narrower at the rear, so the front bar is intentionally longer than the rear. Always install the longer bar on the front.

If the sizes don't match what's listed for your vehicle, please measure both bars outside the mounts and send the measurements to our support team. We'll confirm and ship a corrected set free of charge if anything is off.

My crossbars make noise at highway speed

A small amount of noise is normal at highway speeds when the bars are unloaded. To reduce excessive noise:

  1. Check bar orientation. The thicker (rounded) edge of the bar should face the front of the vehicle and the thinner edge should face the rear.
  2. Check the rubber strip. Make sure the rubber strip on top of the bar is fully seated in its groove with no gaps.
  3. Try repositioning. Moving the bars slightly further apart or closer together often reduces noise.
  4. If you hear a rattle rather than a whistle, the bars may simply need to be re-tightened.

If noise persists after these checks, contact our support team — we can offer replacement parts or alternative solutions.

What is the weight capacity of the Wizard V2?

The bars support up to 165 lbs dynamic capacity (while driving). The actual safe load also depends on your vehicle's roof load rating, which varies by car.

Always check your vehicle's owner manual for the maximum roof load capacity — the crossbar may be rated for more than the vehicle.

I received a defective or missing part

If your product arrived with damaged or missing pieces, please send us photos of the shipping box and the item and we'll ship a replacement to you at no charge — no need to start a return. This is much faster than going through a full return process.

My box arrived damaged

If your box arrived damaged, please take photos and send them to us before doing anything else. We'll file a carrier claim and ship you a replacement right away. In most cases there's no need to return the product.

How do I return my order?

If the product doesn't fit or you're missing parts, contact our support team first — we can usually resolve fitment issues quickly without a return, or send a prepaid return label.

Standard return policy:

  • 30 days from delivery date
  • Original packaging, unused or gently used
  • Refund issued within 5–7 business days after warehouse inspection
I received an unpaid return label — should I pay it?

No — please do not pay any return shipping fees. Contact our support team and we will provide you with a prepaid shipping label right away.

How do I get a replacement part?

You can purchase replacement parts directly from our store. Search for "wizard v2 parts" to find replacement clamps, rubbers, screws, nuts, bars, and more.

Can I install Thule, Yakima, or other brand carriers on Erkul bars?

Yes — Erkul crossbars are fully compatible with Thule, Yakima, Inno, and other major accessory brands. Our bars feature a T-track channel on top, so you can install accessories using either T-bolts or clamp-on mounts.

My bars don't have protective stickers — did I receive a used product?

No, the bars are new. Our quality control team occasionally removes the stickers during random inspections. The stickers are only there to prevent scratching during packing — once the bars are in the box they're well protected. Stickered or not, your bars are brand new.

Are the bars safe in a car wash?
  • Touchless car wash: Yes, safe.
  • Hand wash: Yes, safe.
  • Automatic car wash with brushes: No — please remove the bars first to avoid damage to the bars and the wash equipment.

If end caps come off in a car wash, contact us — we'll ship free replacements, no questions asked.

I lost my anti-theft lock keys

All Erkul crossbar lock keys are the same across our products and we keep them in stock. If you lost your key, contact us and we'll get a replacement out to you. If keys were missing from your original box, replacements are free.
