We've been trying to find a set of roof rails for a long time that fit right. The factory ones were too expensive and we finally came across these. They mount in a similar fashion to the factory ones so they hold really tight. We've used this to transport Kayaks with no issue. They're good quality and I would highly recommend them.
It fit very nicely. I mounted a large rack onto these loaded up all mine and my daughter's items in a large waterproof bag and drove to Florida and back to Michigan 80 mph almost the whole way with absolutely no problems with all the items on top of the vehicle it did affect my gas usage. About 10 mpg less .
installed these on 23 Kona even though Amazon implied they don't fit - but they do since 23 is the same as the 22 and they say they fit that. just don't put narrower rail on the front - then the wider rail won't fit on the back, maybe that's why some users had issues? Tightened down nicely, son says there's a little more noise with them on (at speed) but that's the same with any rails.
The best racks you’ll find!!! I’ve had these for 5 years and they are absolutely amazing for surfboards, snowboards, etc. So fast and so sturdy. Amazing buy!
Installation was VERY easy! No wind noise at all. They look great on my Kona. And you can’t beat the price! Hyundai dealership wanted $400+ for their oem roof racks! These are a little over $100!
